Hospitality Solutions

As a specialist in the Hospitality Industry Australia-wide, the Kytec Group have a unique and comprehensive perspective on IT solutions for Hotels and accommodation facilities. As the one of the first integrators for Windows server PMS systems, Kytec have a strong pedigree with 15 years in the marketplace. This role has developed into a full suite of products and services which put our clients in control of their IT decisions and ongoing revenue. As much as “partnership” can be over-used, we view this as a key function of how we can assist our clients to control IT expenditure and ensure their systems are reliable and secure.

24 hour HelpDesk

With a dedicated HelpDesk facility, staffed by technical resources, the Kytec HelpDesk provides both Hotel administration and guest support, 24 hours per day. Our staff are knowledgeable in Hotel operations and we have established key relationships with all major Hospitality vendors which provides our clients with fast resolution of problems, whether they be hardware or software related.

This facility also provides monitoring for your key systems, ensuring your backups are viable, your servers are operating optimally and any security risks are addressed as soon as they occur. A comprehensive solution in itself, the Kytec HelpDesk operates 24 hours per day to cover your property when it often needs it most.

IT Facilities Management

We have been providing onsite IT services to Hotels since 1992 and have witnessed the massive changes in Hotel products and reliance on IT systems to provide fast and efficient guest service. Our onsite services range from ad-hoc support for system breakdowns through to regular technical visits to maintain services and prevent critical events from occurring. Our Facilities Management services also include IT Strategy, budget preparation and IT System procurement enabling the properties management to focus on guest services.

In-Room Guest Services

Our integrated approach to providing support to our clients has developed a range of solutions for Hotels to manage their guest entertainment and information systems. Through working with our clients, these systems have dramatically increased profit from these services and in many cases, increased revenue. Whilst we also customise and design systems upon request, we also have the following range of solutions our Hotel clients utilise:

In-room Internet (HSIA)

The Kytec in-room Internet solution is fully scalable to a property of any size and provides these services through wired, wireless and DSL technologies, depending on the Hotel and guest requirements. The solution is fully integrated into all major PMS providers, enabling a seamless service from guest login to folio billing. Our 24 hour support service, answered by technical staff, is available for all guest enquiries, providing fast efficient rectification to guest connection issues. Our solution is available in revenue-share, leasing or out-right purchase models, enabling the property to control the revenues from this facility.

In-Room Entertainment – Digital Video Solutions

Many of our clients expressed challenges with the procurement process for in-room entertainment facilities. Often locked into 5 year contracts with only a small percentage of the revenue, our clients have assisted us in developing a solution which uses well-known and proven technologies, which can be purchased outright. Our innovative systems provide the infrastructure over existing Coaxial cable or over Ethernet (IP), giving the greatest range and flexibility out of any system available in Australia. This also enables our clients to negotiate for content without having to cover the suppliers infrastructure costs, dramatically reducing the contract period and increasing the profitability of this service.
